The Introduction of Accelerator

       Our dominant equipment is 2.5 Mev/40mA/1220mm DYNAMITRON Electric Accelerator Units purchased from American Irradiation Dynamics, Inc.The units can be divided into three parts,namely,the main engine,the complement units and the post-process units.The first two parts are made up of 12 subsystems or unit systems,the post-process units have 5 subsystems altogether(4 have been equipped.)

The Product Processing System

1 Small-sized Lines Processing System-----with the ability to process various lines(1 ~25,≤35 mm2; heat shrinkable tubes

(≤27&2mm2;full specifictions self-reguating heating belt;all imported.The diameter of guide roller is 230-600mm with the maximum speed 500mpm.

2 Large-sized Lines Process System—with the ability to process various lines from25 to50(≤800 mm2); Heat shrinkable tubes(24-60&2mm2).The diameter of guide roller is 1500mm with the maximum speed 150mpm.

3 Linear Rotation System—purchasing.Cables(50&≧300mm2) are planning to be manufactured.

4 Small-sized Lathe Circulating System—with the ability to process thick wall heat contraction tubes(ID≧∮20&Length<1200),normal speed0~10mpm;the tray size1.2×1.0m2.

5 Film System—with the ability to process 300~1000 width&0.15~6mm thickness film,normal speed 0~20mpm.

 

 

Operating Principles of DYNAMITRON Accelerator

Accelerators, such as the Dynamitron, work on the same principle as a television tube. Electrons are generated by a heated filament which forms the electron gun. A voltage gradient draws the electrons away from the gun and accelerates them through the vacuum tube. As the high voltage beam of electrons passes from the beam tube and through the scan magnet, an oscillating magnetic field sweeps the beam back and forth across the scan window.

A television operates at about 25 kV, which is enough to generate images from the electrons striking the fluorescent screen of the picture tube. The voltage of the Dynamitron, however, is 2.5kv which is high enough to accelerate the electrons through the metal foil of the scan window and irradiate product passing beneath. Electrons accelerated under a voltage of 5 MeV are traveling at approximately 99.8% of the speed of light, or nearly 300,000 km/sec, when they enter the scan window.

 

 

Summarised Operating Principles:

Electrons, generated by a heated filament in the high electric fields with high frequency and high voltage into which the RF voltage,obtained by high frequency oscillation power,passes through RF transformer and doubler rectifier stack and turns, are drawn away from the gun and accelerates through the vacuum tube by a voltage gradient, into a high voltage beam of electrons,then passes from the beam tube and through the scan magnet, sweeps the molecular bonds back and forth across the scan window,lead products to prompt reaction,like crosslinking and degradation.
